Incorporated in 1993, North Shore Search and Rescue is a Volunteer Ground Search And Rescue team and Charity.
We are the collective effort of volunteers from various professions and all walks of life who bring their skills and experience together to provide assistance to those in need of our services.
We provide assistance to all authorities when requested to conduct Search and Rescue operations.
Our members frequently train to develop and practice the skills required to successfully and safely conduct Search and Rescue operations.
Our Catchment Area
North Shore Search and Rescue is dispatched by the Agency Having Jurisdiction - police service responding. Our catchment area includes the municipalities and areas of; Blind River to West Nippissing, Cartier to Parry Sound, including Killarney, Manitoulin Island, and all in between. This geographic area (approximately 12,000 square kilometers) encompasses a full-time population in excess of 283,000 people with many more seasonal residents & visitors.
In Case of EMERGENCY - Call 911
It takes only a few minutes to save a person's life in an emergency. Do the right thing, DON'T WAIT, call 911 for police as searches are a police emergency. Our trained and skilled members are ready to assist all emergency services on a moment's notice, but must be activated by a police service. *Search And Rescue is a FREE SERVICE in Canada!
